BEGINNER CLASSES

BEGINNER EARRING:

This class will cover the fundamentals of earring creation. You will learn to use your tools and design 2-3 pairs of earrings.

FEE = $15

BEGINNER BRACELET/NECKLACE:

Learn to design and create a necklace or bracelet, or both, using the beads of your choosing.

FEE = $15

BEGINNER EARRING AND BRACELET:

Learn it all in one class! Learn everything you would learn in both classes above. This is a great class for any beginner – the skills you learn will start you on your journey into the world of beading.

INTERMEDIATE EARRINGS:

Take the skills learned in Beginner Earring and move to the next level. Bend wire to embellish your earring creations; create multi drops/dangles….

BEAD WEAVING

SPIRAL ROPE:

Spiral Rope Chain is one of the easiest and most versatile stitches we have. Once you get the basic start down it works up in no time! In this class we will be working with seed beads in a variety of sizes to create a bracelet with a really cool spiral effect – the more variety in sizes lends to a dramatic spiral effect. You will love this!

RIGHT ANGLE WEAVE EARRINGS:

Right Angle Weave is used in many projects, adapts to many shapes, and is a soft weave. In this class you will learn this technique and create earrings. Easy to learn; and adaptable to a multitude of uses in jewelry making.

RIGHT ANGLE WEAVE BRACELET:

{See description above} In this class you will learn this technique and create a bracelet using 4mm Swarovski bicones. You won’t want to take it off!

RUSSIAN SPIRAL:

Russian Spiral has the look of open weave crochet but it is actually a weave. The technique is easy to learn and has a lovely outcome. Our example is a lightweight necklace made with size 11 and 8 seed beads with 4mm Swarovski bicone crystals. Join us and add this weave to your beading experience!

BEADED BEZEL:

Create a unique pendant using a stone cabochon, dichroic glass, or other reasonably flat object. You will create the bezel and bail out of seed beads and/or Japanese delicas. You can then wear your finished art piece on the cord of your choice, or a beaded strand to complement!

EMBELLISHED PEYOTE STITCH BRACELET:

This is soooo nice! A stunning bracelet made with 4mm Miyuki Cubes, 8/0 and 11/0 seed beads, and sterling silver daisy spacers. Easier than it looks; you will want to make dozens!

BEGINNER PEYOTE STITCH

This is a wonderful introduction to a timeless Native American beading technique. Learn the skills to create one of those classic beaded amulet bags, or a beaded band to wear around your wrist or neck.

WIRE WORK CLASSES

BEGINNER WIRE WRAP:

Wrap a stone and a donut using single or twisted sterling silver or 14k gold fill wire. A great class for beginners interested in wirework.

CHANDELIER EARRINGS:

Chandelier earrings are all the rage; elegant and fun. Create 2-3 pairs of these stylish earrings. We have sterling silver chandelier findings for you to build on, or create your own with wire and chain.

BIRD’S NEST PENDANT:

This is a charming piece; make a nest of precious metal wire and pearl “eggs”. Really sweet and fun to create – no two will look alike.

CHAIN AND BEAD:

Combine chain, beads, and wire to create beautiful and truly unique pieces of jewelry: earrings, necklaces, bracelets Experience with making earrings is suggested.

BIKER NECKLACE:

You will be taking a trip to the hardware store for this one! Quite the eyecatcher for those of you leaning toward the “wild side.” A head turning piece made with cotter pins, metal objects, beads….(lots of stuff!)

FOIL SQUARE AND SILVER SPIRAL DUO

An impressive necklace and earring set using square foil beads embellished with sterling silver wire spirals (use gold-fill wire if you like!). A great class, a terrific set.

BYZANTINE CHAIN MAILLE

CHAIN MAILLE EARRINGS

An ancient art of weaving metal rings (usually silver). Looks deceptively difficult yet truly isn’t. In this class you will create two pairs of earrings using different weaves: Byzantine weave and Flower Chain. With the skills learned in this class you can move on to create bracelets and/or necklaces with these two patterns.

BEAD CROCHET

Learn to crochet a seamless seed bead bracelet. This is a portable and addictive technique! The crochet technique, including how to begin, will be taught in the first session. Joining a seamless tube will be covered in the second session. You will learn tips on pattern creation and other finishing techniques. Advance preparation is required for this class – please pick up instructions when you register. You will create 2-3 bracelets during these sessions. Cost covers both sessions.

SEASONAL

BEADED CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT:

Get ready for the holiday! Decorate an ordinary Christmas bulb with Swarovski crystals, seed, and bugle beads and create your own heirloom piece. Elegant and simple, this class is designed for the beginning beader.

Is there something you would like to learn that is not on our schedule? Do you need a morning or an afternoon class? Call us! Classes can be scheduled at your convenience. We want you to learn all you want to know!

PRIVATE CLASSES SCHEDULED AT YOUR REQUEST!

Pre-registration for classes is strongly suggested. We ask that you sign up and pay for classes in advance to reserve your spot – and to insure the class will take place. We have room for 1-5 people at our class table.
We supply the tools you need on the evening of the class; you are encouraged to bring your own tools if you have them.
Class fees do not include beads/supplies – a 10% discount will apply to all beads/tools/supplies purchased for any class. You are welcome to bring your own supplies and/or tools if you prefer.
We ask that you come in at least ½ hour prior to the scheduled class time to pick out your beads; this will insure classes beginning and ending on time. You are also welcome to purchase your supplies ahead of time; let the person at the register know you are taking a class and you are making purchases for that class to receive the 10% discount.
If no one reserves space in a class by the class date, then the class may be cancelled. If you are planning on taking a class, call to check the status. Class dates and contents are subject to change.
